Fresh from its Nürburgring Nordschleife record, the Ford GT Mk IV headed to motorsport’s ultimate summer garden party, Goodwood Festival of Speed, to join Ford Racing’s 125-year celebrations.
Set in the grounds of Goodwood House, the Festival of Speed provided the ideal backdrop to the celebrations with perfect English summer weather, a relaxed atmosphere and large crowds across the weekend. The Mk IV took pride of place in the Supercar Paddock, as well as conducting a number of demonstration runs on the hill climb course at the hands of multi- DTM Champion Mattias Ekström.
As well as driving the famous Le Mans winning GT40 of Bruce McLaren, current Racing Bulls F1 driver Liam Lawson also drove the Mk IV up the hill and gave a glowing report of the car’s capabilities.
The weekend concluded with exclusive hill climb passenger rides for selected Ford Club R guests, giving them a close-up experience of the record-setting Ford GT Mk IV.
